At an altitude of 2590 meters above sea level Kanatal has a enviable climate throughout the year. The summer temperatures here max to 30 °C , while winter temperatures remain between 7 °C and -5 °C. It witnesses cool and crispy days in summer, with moderate to heavy rains in July and August.  Snow fall up to 3-4 feet in winter is a surreal sight bordering on spirituality. As with most hill stations, unpredictable winds and rain, or climatic changes cannot be ruled out. It is advised you check before starting on your journey.
